Short version: AgentDeck collects nothing. Everything stays on your computer, unless you turn on one of the optional features below.
What AgentDeck does with your data
- No telemetry, no analytics, no accounts. Out of the box, AgentDeck never connects to any server. Each feature below that does is off until you turn it on.
- What it reads, locally: the session files and logs of Claude Code and Codex on your computer, and the permission requests those agents send it through their hooks. It does not read their login credentials.
-
What it stores, locally in
%APPDATA%\AgentDeck: your shortcuts, settings, usage numbers, and a history of approval requests (kept 90 days). Uninstalling with Delete the application data ticked removes all of it. -
Update check (optional): when you turn on Check for updates (or click Check now),
AgentDeck downloads a small file describing its latest release from GitHub
(
github.com/hicham-alaoui0/agentdeck-beta), at start and every few hours. The request carries nothing about you or your sessions; GitHub sees your IP address, as with any download, under GitHub's privacy statement. When you click Install, the new installer is downloaded from the same place. It is off until you turn it on. -
CI status (optional): when you turn it on, AgentDeck asks your GitHub CLI (
gh) for the status of your repository's GitHub Actions after an agent pushes. That request goes from your computer to GitHub under your own GitHub account, as if you ranghyourself. It is off by default. - Your phone (optional): when you turn on Settings → Phone, AgentDeck listens on your local network so a phone you pair by QR code can show your sessions and answer requests. Everything between the phone and your PC is encrypted with a key only those two hold. The phones you paired are remembered on your PC, encrypted with your Windows account; the phone keeps its pairing in the app. It is off by default.
- From anywhere (optional): with Settings → Phone → From anywhere on, your PC also connects to the AgentDeck relay (a Cloudflare Worker run by AgentDeck's author) so a paired phone can reach it away from your Wi-Fi. The relay passes the encrypted messages along and cannot read them. What it does see: a random room id for your PC, the random ids of the phones you paired, when they connect, and IP addresses, as any server does, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. It keeps no log of your sessions. It is off until you turn it on.
- Notifications on your phone (with From anywhere): so the phone can say "An agent needs you" while the app is closed, your PC asks the relay to signal the phone. The signal has no details in it: which agent and what it asks appear only in the app, over the encrypted connection. On phones with Google Play services the signal is a Firebase Cloud Messaging notification, so Google receives a device token for the AgentDeck app, under Google's privacy policy. On phones without them (Huawei and others) the app keeps its own connection to the relay instead, and Google isn't involved.
- The phone app stores its pairing and today's answer count on the phone, and nothing else. It has no analytics.
When you send feedback
Send feedback opens a GitHub issue page in your browser. Whatever you write or attach there (such as a diagnostic bundle) is shared under GitHub's privacy statement. The diagnostic bundle is created only when you click Export, saved to your Downloads folder so you can look at it first, and contains versions, settings and counts: no commands, code, prompts or file paths. Your user name and computer name are removed.
When AgentDeck crashes
If AgentDeck hits an error in its own code, it saves a short problem report in
%APPDATA%\AgentDeck\reports: AgentDeck's version, which part failed, the error message and where in
AgentDeck's code it happened. Your user name, computer name, home folder and AgentDeck's tokens are removed. At
start, AgentDeck also reads the entries Windows itself keeps about AgentDeck crashing or freezing (the
Application event log on your PC), and turns those into reports too. It reads only AgentDeck's entries.
Reports stay on your computer. AgentDeck shows them on the next start (and in Settings → Help) with exactly what a report contains. Report on GitHub opens a GitHub issue page in your browser, filled in for you to read, change and submit, or not. Dismiss deletes the report. Nothing is sent unless you submit that page.

Changes
If this ever changes, it will be listed here and in the changelog, and anything new that uses the network will be off until you turn it on.
